Holland America Line has announced a three-year, $70 million expansion project to enhance its Denali Lodge and Alaska Cruisetour offerings, with improvements scheduled to begin in 2025.

The project will expand guest capacity and improve the guest experience at the Holland America Denali Lodge, located near Denali National Park, and includes comprehensive upgrades to dining venues and accommodations through 2027.

"It's truly special that we can bring guests to a lodge at the doorstep of Denali National Park," said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. "This investment is a win for Alaska, our guests and Holland America Line. Enhancing and expanding the Holland America Denali Lodge will help meet the growing interest in combined land and sea Cruisetours for our 49th state and further support the Alaska tourism industry."

The first phase in 2025 will focus on enhancing the riverside interpretive trail, improving wayfinding, updating restaurant menus and renovating public spaces in the Cottonwood and Canyon Lodge guestroom buildings.

In 2026, the project will include remodeling 48 guestrooms at the Denali Lodge, adding a new coffee shop and expanding the Karstens Public House with additional indoor and outdoor seating.

The final phase in 2027 will introduce a new building with 120 suites and standard rooms, along with a main lodge renovation featuring a new restaurant, a new lobby bar and enhanced coffee service.

The company has opened bookings for 2025 and 2026 Cruisetours, which combine Alaska cruises with land journeys to Denali National Park and Canada's Yukon Territory across more than 17 different itineraries.
