We’ve mentioned the free texting in Google Voice, but that is just the beginning. One thing to note is that HTML5 is only available in OS 3.0 or later iPhones/iPods, so you will need to upgrade if you want to use this web app. Other supported devices include Android phones, BlackBerry, Palm WebOS, Nokia S6, some Windows phones, and others.
The new Google Web App features a full-screen dialer and also gives you a more functional inbox. One feature that was not previously available is the ability to display your Google Voice number on the caller id for outbound calls; now you can.
Try out the Google Voice web app for yourself at m.google.com/voice.

On an unrelated note, I talked to Verizon today and they still don’t have an estimated date on when Nexus One is coming to them. Just “Spring 2010…”

ahhh…. as much as I want to move to the NExus one, I spent to much cash on the iPhone apps… Now if I could move them over to another device (if the app software companies would let me!!) that would rule but… Google is just a day late to the party. Kinda like Microsoft usually is ehhehe

Not sure what this gives me over what they were already doing other than a pretty inferface. Anything else other than a face lift?

caller ID control, other than that.. not much…
It’s worth a mention because the old interface was horrid. It might be a face lift but it is also 5x more user friendly.
